Q – Will I be able to see old text messages?
A – YES! As long as you have turned on the logs on your BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Retain will go back through, retrieve all of the old message and phone usage data and archive it.
Q - How easy is it to deploy Retain for Blackberry?
A - It takes about 30 minutes to install and set up Retain on your BlackBerry Enterprise Server. You should be able to use your existing network, infrastructure and hardware. A - No software is installed or maintained on the users’ smartphones.
Q - What email platforms does Retain for Blackberry support?
A - Retain for Blackberry supports all major email systems including: Microsoft Exchange, IBM/Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise.
Q – How do I search for and retrieve the old messages?
A – Use the Retain Archive Viewer to access messages on your SQL server. You can also integrate message data into your existing email archive repository where you can use your existing forensics tools to conduct searches and ediscovery.
Q – How do I get messages “out” of Retain?
A – You can export search results and all message data in .pdf, .xls and .xps formats using the Retain Archive Viewer. And since the message data will reside in your email archives, you can also use your existing email forensics tools to search for and export messages.
